The New York Giants selected safety Tyler Nubin with the 47th pick in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The move addresses their biggest need as both cornerback and safety were considered to headline the list of needs on the team, as Travis May wrote for A to Z Sports last night: "They could use a do-it-all safety with the skills to play in the box, the slot, and deep. There still hasn't been a safety selected in the 2024 NFL Draft yet, so that means all the top options are still available."

Nubin is a surefire tackler that produced big numbers in college football, ending his career with 13 interceptions. A four-star recruit out of high school, Nubin has drawn comparisons to Adrian Amos, who's going into his 10th year as a pro. For many, Nubin was the top safety of the class and ranked No. 1 at the position per the consensus board. The Giants get their man to replace Xavier McKinney.

Having picked Nabers at sixth overall the day prior, the Giants are looking much improved going into the 2024 NFL season. With another pick in the Top 100, they get one more chance to deal some damage on Friday.

In the meantime, let's dive into tan in-depth scouting report of the newest Giant on the roster.
