STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (WTAJ) — Nittany Nannies is a new nanny service in the Centre County area.

The service was founded in part due to the Happy Valley Launchbox program back in January 2024. Founder Sarah Kuchta was given $2,000 to help start Nittany Nannies.

“I think there was just a great need in the community,” Kuchta said.

The service aims to connect families with trustworthy nannies and babysitters in and around Centre County. They offer services for part-time childcare, on-site babysitting, on-demand babysitting and more.

“It gives them more of a peace of mind knowing that these sitters are trusted and vetted,” Kuchta said.

According to their website, sitters through the service are thorough vetted through interviews, reference checks and CPR certifications.

Kuchta said she is looking to eventually expand the service, but for now, it will stay in Centre County.
