It's been a fascinating first round so far. Here's the analysis and all the thoughts on the final 12 picks. Check out the thoughts on ...

    Picks 1-10 | Picks 11-20

    21 Miami Dolphins

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Chop Robinson EDGE Penn State
Final Mock Draft Call: Amarius Mims OT Georgia

Draft Pick Thoughts: The value is tremendous. This is a good time to need pass rushers and defensive linemen.

    - Chop Robinson can fly. He's a fun pass rusher who should produce big as a pro ... maybe. He's got all the tools, and Miami desperately needed linemen, and now the pressure is on for him to be a devastating force in the backfield.

    - Where are the trades? I thought this would be the wildest first round ever, and while it's weird, there haven't been a slew of big moves.

    22 Philadelphia Eagles

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Quinyon Mitchell CB Toledo
Final Mock Draft Call: Nate Wiggins CB Clemson

Draft Pick Thoughts: No one got hotter during the process than Mitchell. He's got the speed and all the tools, but he only played two games against Power Five teams.

    - Philadelphia is generally solid at this drafting thing, but this is a call over Nate Wiggins, Kool-Aid McKinstry, and Terrion Arnold. Mitchell will have the pressure to be a playmaker right away.

    - Scouts LOVE this guy. He was able to hold up in all the camps and all the drills against the stars from bigger schools. He's got the talent and makeup to be fantastic, but he needs to be ready to lock down on everyone's No. 1.

    23 Jacksonville Jaguars (from Minnesota)

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Brian Thomas WR LSU
Final Mock Draft Call: Bo Nix QB Oregon

Draft Pick Thoughts: The mock draft call was when this was Minnesota's slot, by the way.

    - 4.33 speed, 6-3 size, explosion, and all the tools in the bag. He's a weapon for Trevor Lawrence and an offense that has to take things to another level.

    - When mentioning earlier that this was a loaded class of wide receivers, and maybe the idea would be to trade down to get one of them, Thomas is one of those guys. The upside is enormous.

    - It's a wee bit of a call, though. Jacksonville needs to go big on corner at some point, and there were plenty of good ones on the board here.

    24 Detroit Lions (from Dallas)

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Terrion Arnold CB Alabama
Final Mock Draft Call: Adonai Mitchell WR Texas

Draft Pick Thoughts: Quinyon Mitchell had better be really, really good, Philadelphia.

    - The Lions figured that one out fast. They desperately need defensive backs, Arnold was a top 20-caliber corner, and he's a great value pick at the exact right time.

    - I like Kool-Aid McKinstry a bit better, but there's no beef with Arnold. He flies, he's sticky, and he's an explosive corner who should shine right away. He'll have problems against the more physical receivers, but ask him to cover a speed target and he's all over it.

    - The Lions still need more. They need more defensive backs, defensive linemen, and a few more playmakers to go along with that offense.

    25 Green Bay Packers

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Jordan Morgan OT Arizona
Final Mock Draft Call: Cooper DeJean CB Iowa

Draft Pick Thoughts: Really, really like it. Everyone who knows him says he's an NFL athlete of an offensive tackle.

    - There are more physical maulers still on the board, but the Packers filled a need with a pass protector who can handle his own against the speed guys.

    - He was one of the biggest keys to the Arizona rise/turnaround. The offensive line was one of the main issues that wasn't working, he was the best of the bunch that everything worked around. Now he can be part of a puzzle instead of the star of the show.

    26 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Graham Barton C/OG Duke
Final Mock Draft Call: Chop Robinson EDGE Penn State

Draft Pick Thoughts: The Buccaneers were in a sweet spot for this pick. They needed a wide receiver, an edge rusher, and an interior offensive lineman. Getting Barton here was a coup.

    - Tampa Bay had to rush that one up - even if it did take all its time. He can work at guard, but he's an instant center and leader for the front.

    - Pittsburgh could've taken him. Dallas has to be DYING that he would've been there at the 24. It's an infrastructure pick that should fit perfectly.

    27 Arizona Cardinals (from Houston)

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Darius Robinson EDGE Missouri
Final Mock Draft Call: Jer'Zhan Newton DT Illinois

Draft Pick Thoughts: Ehhhhhh. I know a lot of people who like him, but he's a bit too much of a tweener to me.

    - Always a little leery of prospects who were considered good, but took the stock up several notches because of the Senior Bowl. The workouts were great, and he's versatile, but not entirely sure he translates to a star.

    - There are some explosive players on the board. Robinson is fine, and he actually went exactly where he was supposed to. It's just that the guys still on the board are really, really strong.

    - Speaking of which ...

28 Kansas City Chiefs (from Buffalo)

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Xavier Worthy WR Texas
Final Mock Draft Call: Xavier Worthy WR Texas

    Draft Pick Thoughts: Yup.

    - Kansas City got away with it last year without enough talented wide receivers. This offense likes speed. It likes amazing playmakers. A guy who can run a 4.21 should work.

    - Hey, rest of the NFL, I can't believe you let Kansas City get THIS guy.

    - How badly is Dallas getting pantsed? Worthy is the perfect playmaking receiver it would've and could've wanted, but Kansas City slid right in front.

    - The Chiefs still need more offensive linemen, and the defensive tackles have to come off the board, but this guy is really, really good.

    - He's not just a speed guy. Worthy might not be all that big, but he can do more than just hit the home run.

    - Or ...

    29 Dallas Cowboys (from Detroit)

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Tyler Guyton OT Oklahoma
Final Mock Draft Call: Kool-Aid McKinstry CB Alabama

Draft Pick Thoughts: Great pick. I joked about the Cowboys, but they had to get an offensive tackle, and they were able to get an ultra-athletic one at the right time.

    - Very tall, great frame, and he's got the wingspan who's impossible to get around. He's not a power blocker, but that's not why the Cowboys took him.

    - They still need wide receiver and corner help, but Guyton was a right-pick-right-spot get and filled a desperate need

    30 Baltimore Ravens

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Nate Wiggins CB Clemson
Final Mock Draft Call: Darius Robinson EDGE Missouri

Draft Pick Thoughts: Really fast, he brings the 4.28 speed to go along with a whole lot of broken up passes. The Ravens needed a corner with wheels, and they've got one.

    - They also need some pass rushing options, but the value here was at corner and wide receiver. They didn't need a wideout as much as they had to find defensive back help.

    - He won't tackle anyone, but again, he can fly. To put together the puzzle, the value at safety is coming when they pick in the second and third rounds.

    31 San Francisco 49ers

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Ricky Pearsall WR Florida
Final Mock Draft Call: Troy Fautanu OG/OT Washington

Draft Pick Thoughts: I mean ... I GUESS so.

    - It's the 49ers, so they get a few benefits of the doubt, but Pearsall is a big, big call with several terrific receivers still on the board.

    - It sort of makes sense - he's a physical target with strong, precise, route-running skills. But Xavier Legette was still there, and he might be a better fit - and not just because he's from South Carolina like Deebo.

    32 Carolina Panthers (from Buffalo)

2024 NFL Draft Pick: Xavier Legette WR South Carolina
Final Mock Draft Call: Brian Thomas Jr. WR LSU

Draft Pick Thoughts: The Panthers HAD to give Bryce Young SOMETHING to work with.

    - There were plenty of receivers on the board, but Legette has been considered a first rounder throughout the whole process. There were more explosive options, but this is a piece of the puzzle.
