OPINION: Jason Snider 'best road to take' for Washington County

It is frustrating, at best, to hear a traffic radio report saying that Highway 217 is moving slowly, or that Highway 99W is at a standstill, especially when you are moving slowly along Highway 217 or at a standstill on Highway 99W.

The tendency to throw something at your car radio is almost overwhelming. Jason Snider, candidate for Washington County Commissioner, knows your pain. He is one of us. He travels to work through the morass that is Washington County rush hour traffic.

Jason Snider, as mayor of Tigard, worked with county officials, and with his mayoral colleagues in Washington County to address and lessen some of the traffic problems throughout the Westside. He knows full well that there is more to be done, and as Washington County commissioner, he will be in a position to watch out for the interests of Washington County commuters.

Serving on the Washington County Coordinating Committee gave Jason a great deal of exposure to the traffic discussions and he has been a leader in discussions over the Southwest Corridor and other proposed improvements.

He also is very interested in moving people and goods efficiently and safely. This is why a vote for Jason Snider for Washington County Commissioner, District 3 is the “best road to take."
