Endangered man found safe in Greenville County

Update: The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said Maruyama was located safely Tuesday evening.

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – Greenville County deputies are searching for a man they said is in need of immediate medical attention.

According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, Hideo Maruyama, 77, was last seen in the area of Arrington Avenue at around 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Maruyama is 5’5, 110 pounds and has brown eyes and gray/white hair. He was last seen wearing a long steeve red striped shirt and blue jogger pants. He was seen leaving the area driving a Honda CRV with the tag RFB 734.

The sheriff’s office said Maruyama is in need of medical attention, and if anyone sees him, they are asked to call 911 immediately.
