    ‘The mighty mighty thumpers’ compete - Spring Fling planned

    The Aitkin County 4-H junior rabbit bowl team “The mighty mighty thumpers” recently competed against other teams across Minnesota to test their knowledge about rabbits.

    The youth and coaches practiced two-three times a week and then competed at one of the Regional Project Bowl competitions in Bemidji in March. The team was the “Champion Junior Rabbit” team and advanced to the State Project Bowl competition in which the team placed seventh in its division with over 120 teams competing in all age divisions and project areas.

    Members of the team include: Coach Carol, Coach Nikki, Camille M., Henry N., Isabel M., Julianna L. and Holden S.

    SPRING FLING EVENT

    Join Aitkin County 4-H in its annual Spring Fling project exploration event.

    Youth are invited to explore general project areas, make new friends and connect with members of the community. They will take four 30-minute classes throughout the day to get hands-on experience to spark an interest to further their education in project areas offered through Minnesota 4-H.

    Parents are welcome to attend with youth to also explore the opportunities 4-H can provide.

    Lunch will be provided at the event on Saturday, April 27 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the McGregor High School, 148 South Second St., McGregor, MN 55760.
