Ashland County Athlete of the Week Poll: April 15-20

Vote now for the candidates in the Ashland Times-Gazette Athlete of the Week poll.

The performances in the poll are from April 15 to April 20. The poll will run from 10 a.m. Monday to 10 a.m. Wednesday. Winners will be announced at the end of the week.

Below are some of the the top performances from this past week:

Athlete of the Week candidates

Madelyne Stief, Black River softball

Stief had three hits, three RBIs and scored one run in Black River's 7-4 away win over Firelands on Monday.

Emilee Rowland, New London softball

Rowland pitched all seven innings, produced 16 strikeouts, walked four, gave up just two hits and zero earned runs in New London's 7-0 home win over Plymouth on Monday. She earned the win as the starting pitcher, while gathering one RBI and two hits at the plate.

Keifer Rhodes, Loudonville baseball

Rhodes drove in two runs and had two hits in Loudonville's 7-1 home win against Central Christian on Tuesday to complete a two-game sweep of the Comets.

Kalee Hamman, Crestview softball

Hamman pitched an complete game shutout in Crestview's 8-0 away win over New London on Friday. Hamman pitched all seven innings, struck out 11, had zero walks, gave up seven hits and zero earned runs in 92 pitches thrown (73 strikes).

Olivia Todd, Black River

Todd won both the 100 (15.46) and 300 (48.08) hurdles events on Friday at Crestview High School during the Forest Pruner Track Invitational.
