Camp Lee Invites Families to Embrace Outdoor Adventure with Family Camping Night in Calhoun County

Calhoun County, AL – Experience the Magic of Camping Under the Stars on April 26th-27th

Nestled amidst the serene beauty of the mountains, Camp Lee is gearing up to host an unforgettable Family Camping Night on April 26th and 27th from 6:00 pm to 11:00 am, offering families the chance to reconnect with nature and create lasting memories together. Organized by Camp Lee, this overnight camping experience promises an array of activities designed to foster outdoor skills and ignite a sense of adventure among participants of all ages.

Designed to cater to both seasoned campers and novices alike, the program will feature a variety of engaging activities, including instruction on setting up camp, cooking over an open fire, and the beloved tradition of making s’mores. Additionally, families can look forward to evening interpretive programming, where they can learn about the local flora and fauna, as well as enjoy the awe-inspiring spectacle of star gazing.

As dawn breaks, participants will have the opportunity to embark on a refreshing morning hike, soaking in the tranquil beauty of the surrounding landscape. With a focus on inclusivity, the event is open to individuals of all ages, although all participants must be potty trained, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Registration for Family Camping Night is open, with spaces limited to 40 participants. The registration fee is $25 per person, including children.
