    Passenger bus carrying over 50 people runs off I-95 in Greensville, crashes into several trees

    GREENSVILLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — A passenger bus carrying over 50 people crashed off of Interstate 95 in Greensville County early Saturday morning, with the driver now facing a reckless driving charge.

    Just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, state troopers responded to report of a bus crash on I-95 South near the Skippers Road exit.

    According to Virginia State Police, the passenger bus — associated with Autobus Fleur de Lys, Inc., of Canada — was carrying 54 people at the time of the crash, including its driver, 71-year-old Alain Guay.

    Troopers determined that Guay had run off the highway and hit several trees. He has been charged with reckless driving.

    Two passengers were hurt in the crash, though their injuries are not considered life-threatening, according to state police.
