    Temperatures reach close to freezing mark overnight, breezy weather likely Monday

    It will be dry but chilly this evening, temperatures will tumble overnight.

    Lows should drop close to the freezing mark or just below. The National Weather Service has issued Freeze and Frost alerts from 1 a.m. - 9 a.m. for our area.

    A Freeze Warning has been issued for Butler, Armstrong, Lawrence, Indiana, Clarion, Venango, Forest, the ridges of Westmoreland and Fayette counties. As well as a Frost Advisory for Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette, Greene, Monongalia, Preston counties. Make sure you cover up plants or bring them in to protect them.

    A cold start Monday morning but a warmer afternoon is expected, highs will reach around the 60-degree mark. Warmer and a bit breezy at times on Tuesday, highs will reach the mid-60s with more clouds through the day. Rain showers will develop in the evening in our NW counties and become widely scattered overnight into Wednesday morning, rain amounts will be light.

    Clouds clear Wednesday night into Thursday with another chance of patchy frost in spots. More sunshine for Thursday, cool but not as chill in the afternoon, with highs around 60 degrees. Warmer air arrives for Friday with highs around 70 degrees and the mild marks will continue into the weekend.
