ELLIOTT COUNTY, KY (WOWK) – Elliott County first responders will soon be getting a new emergency services center.

A memorandum of agreement has been signed and work is set to begin on bringing emergency services together in Elliott County, Kentucky. The $4.6 million investment is being made to combine EMS services into one operational center.

That center would include the 911 call center, a fire department, a classroom for first responders and a warming center.

The original 911 location was destroyed in a fire, and the fire department is in need of major repairs, so this is a much-needed development for the county.
