ST. LOUIS – Some consumer preferences are timeless, while others are subject to change. It’s the challenge many brands in the restaurant and retail industries embrace.

In some cases, change isn’t always bad. A new report from 24/7 Wall St. recently named the “Fastest-Growing Brands in Each State” this year, highlighting notable food and drink specialties in Missouri and Illinois.

To name the “fastest-growing” brands, a research team with 24/7 Wall St. analyzed data such as new location openings, consumer interest, and searches. Yelp’s findings also factored into the research.

In many cases, brands identified as the “fastest-growing” were not necessarily market leaders, “but aim to compete by disrupting their industries,” according to the report.

What are the “fastest-growing” brands in Missouri and Illinois? 24/7 Wall St. offers the following insight…

Missouri

LongHorn Steakhouse is considered the fastest-growing brand in Missouri. The chain was originally based in Orlando. It has at least 10 locations in the Show Me State, including four in the St. Louis metro.

LongHorn Steakhouse is well-known for its grilled steaks, in addition to its Wild West Shrimp and Spinach Artichoke Dip.

The Missouri runner-ups included Scooter’s Cafe, Panera Bread and Once Upon a Child.

Illinois

Kung Fu Tea is considered the fastest-growing brand in Illinois. The chain is part of the Bubble Tea Outlets franchise. It now has at least locations in the Land of Lincoln, mostly in the Chicagoland.

Kung Fu Tea is well-known for its classic iced tea, milk tea, coconut milk tea and punch.

The Illinois runner-ups included Scooter’s Cafe, Olive Garden and Culver’s.
