    I-64W reopens after tractor-trailer fire

    UPDATE (12:26 p.m.) — All lanes of I-64 have reopened after a tractor-trailer fire in Kanawha County Friday morning.

    The incident happened just after 7 a.m. in the westbound lanes of I-64 just passed the Cross Lanes exit. The lanes were closed while crews worked with the DEP to clean up a fuel spill.

    No one was injured in the incident, and the road has fully reopened.


    UPDATE (7:41 a.m.) — The fast lane of I-64W has reopened as crews continue to work to clear the scene.


    KANAWHA COUNTY, WV (WOWK) — A tractor-trailer caught fire on I-64 in Cross Lanes, shutting down all westbound lanes.

    According to Metro 911, the vehicle caught fire just before 7:00 a.m. Friday morning. There is no word on how long the lanes will be shut down.
