BOIL ADVISORY: Tri-Water System issues boil advisory for several roads in Union Parish

UNION PARISH, La. (KTVE/KARD) — Due to a break in the water main, Tri-Water System Inc., has issued a boil advisory for the following roads in Union Parish listed below:

• Game Reserve Road
• Ollie Dawkins Road
• Perkins Road
• Zion Watts Road
• Moshack Road
• Bird Road
• Meridian Church Road
• Burch Road
• Andrews Road
• Johnny Baker Road
• Finch Road
• Highway 348 from Conway Baptist Church to Game Reserve Road

It is recommended that all customers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle or pouring it from one container to another.)

When the samples collected have been found safe for use, an update will be provided that the advisory has been lifted.
