In a distressing incident that has shaken the community, Nevada parents Misty and Jeffery Scanlan have been arrested on charges of child abuse/neglect after their 11-year-old child was found confined in a "large metal enclosure." The arrest came to light when officers were summoned to investigate a truancy issue.

A 46-year-old woman has been taken into custody under suspicion of kidnapping and fatally shooting a 35-year-old car salesman in February. Rosie Chavez, according to Chicago Police, is alleged to have fatally shot Crisoforo Osorio-Gonzalez on February 10 in the 3600 block of West 26th Street. Osorio-Gonzalez was found dead on February 13 in a Little Village alley.

In Everett, Washington, a mother has been apprehended on suspicion of murder following the discovery of her young son's lifeless body on the side of the freeway last week. According to the Everett Police Department, the family of 4-year-old Ariel Garcia reported him missing on Wednesday, March 27, citing "suspicious circumstances." Prompted by concerns for the boy's safety, law enforcement, in collaboration with the FBI and other agencies, launched an extensive search effort.

The collision occurred about 7:51pm on Friday April 5, 2024. The crash location was under the Stoddard Wells Road bridge on northbound I-15.
