A fire in Hillsborough County on Thursday destroyed a van that was being loaded with food to deliver to after-school programs in Pinellas County.

The fire occurred around noon in the parking lot of Let’s Cook Shared Kitchen, 5831 Memorial Highway.

The driver of the van, which belongs to J.W. Foods, noticed a heavy electrical smell while loading pizza pockets to deliver to 11 Pinellas County after-school programs with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast, said Katrina Johnson, general manager for J.W. Foods.

Nobody was injured, but the van was a total loss, Johnson said.
