Woman in West Turin charged with Grand Larceny

WEST TURIN, N.Y. (WWTI) – The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 31-year-old woman in West Turin on Wednesday, April 17 and charged her with Grand Larceny and Possession of a forged instrument.

Kayla M. Larkins was arrested following a joint investigation with Lewis County Adult Protective Services. It is alleged that Larkins possessed and forged 11 checks and cashed them at the Lyons Falls Community Bank. Larkins was charged with 1 count of Grand Larceny in the 4th degree a Class “E” felony and 11 counts of Possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree a class “D” felony.

Larkins was arraigned in the Town of Lowville CAP court where she was released on her own recognizance.
