Bernalillo County Animal Care Services adjusting operating hours

BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – After input from a community survey, the county’s Animal Care Services is modifying its operating hours. The new hours will go into effect starting Saturday, April 20.

The new hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Visitors can view animals at any time during operating hours.

“We have many programs that assist in getting animals out the doors, but it is important that we continue to find ways to give customers more access to animals during times that are convenient for them and not just when most people are at work,” Bernalillo County Animal Care Services Director Misha Goodman said in a press release. “These hours may be temporary and adjusted again in the near future as the department is looking to adjust staffing levels to best serve the community’s needs.”
