According to a release, the Alabama Coushatta Tribe of Texas said though plans have not been finalized, Polk County could receive a new resort that could offer a state-of-the-art casino floor, hotel accommodations and dining and entertainment options.

“We are incredibly excited to embark on this new chapter,” Ricky Sylestine, Tribal Council Chairman, said. “This new casino resort will not only provide significant economic benefits for those living and working in the region, but it will also become a vibrant destination for visitors.”

The Tribe has reportedly “engaged” with the architectural firm FFKR to design the new resort. The Tribe also announced their plans to remodel the existing Ischoopa/One Stop Convenience Store and Truck Stop in Livingston to include electronic bingo machines.

The Tribe said they will release more information and developments in the coming months.
