Severe Thunderstorm Watch outlines portions of the Ohio Valley

HANCOCK COUNTY, W.Va. (WTRF) — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued by the Storm Prediction Center out of Norman, Oklahoma, for the surrounding Ohio Valley.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect until 11 p.m. for Ohio counties: Columbiana, Harrison, Monroe, Noble, Tuscarawas, Belmont, Coshocton, Guernsey, Jefferson, Muskingum.

The following counties in West Virginia are also under Severe Thunderstorm Watch: Brooke, Ohio, Hancock, and Marshall.

A watch means the conditions are in place for a severe thunderstorm to develop.
