The proposed bond extension would help construction a new Sumrall High School, Oak Grove Middle School and Purvis High School. Officials said those facilities are getting older.

The bond referendum that passed in 2006 increased the school district’s millage by 9.35 mills. Lamar County School District officials said they’re working to prevent any millage increase with the proposed bond measure.
