EYEWITNESS (WBRE/WYOU) — Officials have announced the Recovery Assistance Center ( RAC) has opened for those in NEPA impacted by the flood.

According to the Shapiro Administration, the RAC is open for homeowners, renters, and business owners damaged by the flood on September 9 in Luzerne, Lackawanna, Monroe, Susquehanna, Wayne, and Wyoming Counties.

“We encourage anyone who is still struggling from the devastating effects of the flooding to visit the Recovery Assistance Center or contact SBA for more information,” said  PEMA Director Randy Padfield.

Officials note that those visiting the RAC can apply for low-interest loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for homeowners, renters, private non-profits, and businesses located in the counties impacted by the flood.
