Man shot in Hampshire County

AUGUSTA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man was reportedly shot in the Hampshire County area on Sunday.

The Hampshire County Sheriff’s Office reports that, on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at roughly 1:15 A.M., Hampshire County Sheriff Deputies responded the Dunmore Ridge Road area regarding reports of a male victim having been shot.

The victim was shot at an undisclosed location before driving his car north on Dunmore Ridge Road near Augusta, WV. The incident was reported by a third party caller.

“This was an isolated incident and the shooter(s) quickly fled the scene. No further information will be released at this time due to the status of the investigation,” said the HCSO.

“Sheriff’s Office Investigators are continuing their investigation and further details will be released at a later date.”
