Section of Phillis Road to close in Mecklenburg County for cross pipe replacement project

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — The Virginia Department of Transportation will close a section of Phillis Road at the beginning of April for a cross pipe replacement project.

The department will close Phillis Road between Redlawn Road and Lambert Road from Monday, April 1, through Friday, April 5, for a cross pipe replacement project.

During the closure, drivers are advised to use the following detour routes:

  • Westbound traffic : traveling on Lambert Road turn right onto Madison Street, right on Highway 58, right on Antlers Road, right on Redlawn Road and right on Phillis Road.
  • Eastbound traffic : traveling on Redlawn Road turn left on Antlers Road, left on Highway 58, left on Madison Street, left on Washington Street and left on Phillis Road.
