Anyone with a suspended license is invited to take part in Operation Green Light.

In April, the Charlotte County Clerk of Court will offer the event to help people restore their driver license.

Customers will have the opportunity to pay overdue court obligations, including traffic tickers, and save up to 40% in additional fees, according to a news release.

Once customers have paid their fees, or set up a payment plan, they are eligible to have their license reinstated.

“While driving is a privilege, it’s also a necessity for people to be able to work, earn a living, and take care of their families,” Clerk of Court Roger Eaton said.

The event will be offered at clerk offices on the following dates:

• 8 a.m.-noon, April 6 at 350 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda.

• 8 a.m.-5 p.m., April 8 at 350 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda and 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte.

• 8 a.m.-5 p.m., April 15 at 350 E. Marion Ave., Punta Gorda and 18500 Murdock Circle, Port Charlotte.

Fees can also be paid at www.charlottecourtpay.com or by telephone at 855-796-5772.
