STORM WATCH: Rain ends tonight in New Jersey; sunshine returns Friday

Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Mike Rizzo says rainy conditions continue today. It will be light and scattered north and west of Middlesex county. It will be moderate to heavy at times for Middlesex, Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The rain continues until 9 p.m., possibly ending a bit sooner along the Delaware River. As the rain wraps up, a few clouds linger tonight, and windy weather arrives Friday.

Friday is gorgeous, but gusty with winds near 30 mph at times. The high temperatures push close to 60 degrees.

It stays nice into Saturday, too, with highs near 61, but morning sun gives way to evening clouds and scattered sprinkles. The sprinkles are not for everyone, but some may see damp conditions Saturday night. It won't be bad at all.

Sunday looks amazing as highs reach near 66 degrees under a sunny sky with thin clouds.

Showers are possible late on Monday but more significant rain comes through on Tuesday into Wednesday of next week.
