I-79 lane closure to begin Monday in Monongalia County

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (WBOY) — A lane closure will begin on Interstate 79 on Monday in Monongalia County near the Pennsylvania border, according to a press release from the West Virginia Division of Highways (WVDOH).

The closure will affect one northbound lane and one southbound lane.

  • When: Monday, April 1 through Friday, April 5
  • Where: Mile marker 161 to mile marker 159 on I-79
  • Affected times: 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.

The WVDOH press release said that crews will be milling and paving rumble strips. Motorists should expect delays during work times, and weather or other unforeseen circumstances may affect the project schedule.
