‘Regularly scheduled audit’ of Randolph County begins this week

HUNTSVILLE, Mo. (KMIZ)

A regularly scheduled audit of Randolph County began on Monday, according to a press release from the State Auditor’s Office.

The State Auditor’s Office will have an entrance meeting with the Randolph County Commission on Tuesday. The release stats that Randolph County was last audited in 2017.

The county’s previous audit resulted in Randolph County receiving a performance rating of “good” and raised concerns about the public administrator not filing annual settlements on time, the release states. That audit also claimed the county clerk at the time was not preparing or verifying the accuracy of tax books, and the county clerk and county commission were also not verifying the accuracy of the county collector's financial activities, according to the release.
