    Legendary Auburn Wide Receiver Terry Beasley Dies At 73

    Former Auburn wide receiver Terry Beasley has passed away at 73 years old. The university officially announced the news on Wednesday night on social media.

    Beasley was one of the greatest wide receivers in Auburn football history. He recorded 141 receptions for 2,507 receiving yards, and 29 receiving touchdowns over his three seasons. He led the SEC in receptions and receiving yards during the 1970 season. He was the No. 1 target for quarterback Pat Sullivan, who won the Heisman Trophy in 1971.

    After his historic career at Auburn, Beasley was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the first round of the 1972 NFL Draft. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2002.
