As you are probably well aware, dogs are extremely curious, and they feed their curiosity normally by smelling and tasting things. As a result, there are plenty of things that you will keep out of your dog's reach, in order to keep them safe and healthy.
Marianne Whyte's dog was poisoned by an oil diffuser, and she has shared her story on social media to warn people of the dangers.
She explained: "Saturday night I got home late and my dog didn't recognize me. Being a nanny, I thought I woke him up and he was having a night terror." The next day, her dog was still acting strange, so she turned off her new diffuser. By Sunday afternoon, her pup seemed to be feeling better.
But on Monday, her dog sitter told her that her pet had been hiding under the bed all day. When she got home, her dog didn't seem to recognize her again. She said: "I took him to the emergency vet. It turns out that the tea tree oil I was using in the diffuser is toxic for dogs.
Luckily the dog was alright, but many on social media commented to say that they were unaware, and they appreciated the warning.
