A property spanning 70 acres with a rustic-chic, modern cabin owned by country music singer Pam Tillis is currently under contract, according to people familiar with the property. Tillis was asking $3.5 million for her spread.

Tillis bought the land located about an hour outside of Nashville in 2012 for a fraction of its current price tag — for just $301,239, according to property records. She built the one-bedroom cottage that now sits on the property.

Tillis is known for her Top 10 singles in the 1990s such as “Don’t Tell Me What to Do” and “Maybe It Was Memphis.” Her father is legendary country singer Mel Tillis.

The 884-square-foot cottage features a stone fireplace, screened-in porch and backyard with a fire pit, according to the listing by Tom Sullivan of Covey Rise Properties. But much more impressive than the country cabin itself is the property it sits on, which includes hiking and horseback riding trails, ATV paths, five wells and the cascade waterfalls of Younger Creek.

Sullivan declined to comment on the sale, and whether Tillis got her asking price. He did not identify the buyer.
