A Bike Skills/Pump track could be coming to Tredyffrin in the not so far future, writes Holly Herman for the Tredyffrin Patch

Tredyffrin Township Parks and Recreation Committee has established a subcommittee to consider a proposal to construct a track at Mill Road Park on a 55.9-acre tract that is already home to baseball and soccer fields.

According to supervisor Sharon Humble, two local students, Dominick Pecora, an eighth grader at Valley Forge Middle School, and Ronald Lynch, a freshman at Conestoga High School, provided a presentation on the proposal during a meeting held last week in Wilson Farm Park.

Humble added that the targeted park is close to residential neighborhoods and would give cyclists easy access to ride to the park.

Township resident Arthur Zadrozny is helping the students with the project.

Pump tracks are gaining popularity in suburban neighborhoods, with two already in the works at Phoenixville and Malvern boroughs.
