Jason Perez, 33, was found by police to be high on narcotics and speaking incoherently. According to Perez, he couldn't leave because he needed to "retrace his steps" to find his clothes.

Officers gave Perez a trespass notice, and he laid down on the ground, refusing to leave.

When officers attempted to get him into the patrol car, he refused to get in and tense up, biting and kicking them.

Perez began to kick at the window, and when the officer opened the door, Perez lunged at him, causing minor injuries. The police used a restraining device.

Perez sustained some minor injuries during the struggle and was taken to the hospital for evaluation.

Once at the hospital, Perez defecated on himself. As the officer released Perez's handcuffs so he could clean himself, he pulled away, and a new struggle ensued.

A male nurse rushed to the scene after the officer yelled for help. They all fell to the ground, where Perez then bit the male nurse, and other officers assisted in subduing the man once again.

There will be a court appearance on June 13 for the defendant, who is held on a $23,000 bond
