Tracey Welson-Rossman, chief marketing officer for Fort Washington-based Chariot Solutions and founder of nonprofit TechGirlz, has launched Journal My Health, a comprehensive app that helps people with chronic illness communicate better with healthcare providers, writes Kennedy Rose for The Business Journals.

Welson-Rossman got the idea for the digital platform over a decade ago, after a car accident that left her with a chronic health condition.

While meeting with a neurologist, she thought it would be helpful if she could take notes and have them all in one spot to present the information to her physicians.

“There’s a lot that goes on when you have something that has a lot of unknowns to it, lots of doctors that you’re going to and other different stakeholders in your health care journey,” said Welson-Rossman.

COVID-19 and the emergence of long-term side effects in people who have contracted the virus led her to revisit the idea.

The app she launched in 2020 also integrates with wearables such as Apple Watches to track sleep patterns, steps, and much more. It is available to download on the Google Play Store and App Store for free.
