A Great Weekend

First Alert: We'll soak the final days of below and near average temps across Central NC ahead of a big warm up. Highs will climb closer to 90 into midweek next week.

Good Morning! We begin the day with clouds and temps in the mid 40s to near 50 degrees. We'll soak up these last few days of temperatures below/near average, with highs in the low to mid 70s.

Saturday will offer extra clouds and keep temps in the low to mid 70s. A stray shower can't be ruled out Saturday with highs in the mid 70s.

A warm front will usher in much warmer weather starting Sunday and through much of the upcoming week, with high pressure hanging off of the Southeast coast. Highs will approach 90 by midweek.

There will be a slight chance of showers Tuesday. But rain chances will climb a little higher towards the end of next week as a cold front approaches and pushes through the area. This will bring a few showers and thunderstorms Thursday and Friday.
