Texas State News by Evan Green

A Texas backyard party in DFW turned deadly after a gunman showed up and got an unexpected surprise.

Apparently, somebody wasn't enjoying the party. The suspect became angry for some reason and left, only to return with a gun.

Texas cops say, one person was initially injured by the suspect's gunfire after they returned. He continued firing, killing another party goer and injuring another.

In self-defense, a group of partygoers picked up landscaping bricks and threw them at the shooter, knocking him to the ground. After the shooter went down they continued to pelt him with bricks.

How many bricks is unknown, but enough to kill the guy (or gal. To be fair. Police haven't released names, yet)

In addition to the gunman, the unknown victim was also pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, three other people were hospitalized and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

At this point, the names of those involved are not being released by the police.

This is Texas and Texas police are not pursuing a criminal investigation. They told reporters this is an incident of "Self-Defense".

Plenty of questions remain and authorities promised to update as they see fit.

Did the people do the right thing? What would you have done?
