(DENVER) The Denver Police Department ensured safety at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game after announcing four people were arrested on gun charges at a hotel near the baseball stadium, according to NBC News.

Authorities said they arrested three men and a woman: Richard Platt, 42; Gabriel Rodriguez, 48; Ricardo Rodriguez, 44; and Kanoelehua Serikawa, 43 on felony weapons charges. Some suspects were prohibited from owning weapons.

Police said they received a call over suspicious activity at the Maven Hotel. They received search warrants for two rooms where they "recovered evidence" and impounded two vehicles.

However, Denver Police Chief Paul Pazen clarified there were still some parts of the investigation authorities did not know, including how many guns were recovered.

NBC News reports the FBI said they did not believe the arrests were related to the game.

"We have no reason to believe this incident was connected to terrorism," the department said. "We are not aware of any threat to the All-Star Game events, venues, players, or the community at this time."

Platt appeared in court on Sunday. The judge set the bail for $50,000, while the remaining suspects await public defenders.

"We are incredibly proud that our team swiftly alerted the authorities in this instance," Sage Hospitality, which owns the Maven Hotel, said in a statement. "We are thankful to DPD for their quick action to safely resolve this situation and will continue to work closely with them to support their investigation."
