A recent TikTok video has gone viral, highlighting the strict drug policies enforced by Carnival Cruise Line.

In the clip, a passenger named Gloria (@coppertoneqt) recounts an incident involving a drug-sniffing dog that detected illicit substances in a fellow traveler's luggage.

The incident, which was picked up by several news outlets, unfolded as the dog was inspecting suitcases outside of a guest's room. When the dog stopped at one particular bag, Carnival staff members immediately took action.

The luggage was confiscated and the passenger's identity was made public, even though they were not present at the time.

Gloria's video provides a firsthand account of the situation, capturing the moment when the dog alerted the authorities to the potential presence of drugs. In the clip, she describes the scene:

"The dog was going about all the suitcases, and the dog stopped, like... And they took the suitcase."

The TikToker goes on to explain that the confiscated suitcase was among several others lined up in a hallway.

"The dog stopped in front of the suitcase like, it's drugs in here, and they took the suitcase," she says.

The incident serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of attempting to bring illegal substances aboard a cruise ship.

Carnival Cruise Line, like many other cruise companies, has strict policies in place to prevent drug use and trafficking on their vessels.

While the specific details of the case remain unclear, the video has sparked discussions about the effectiveness of drug detection methods on cruise ships and the potential penalties for those caught in violation of these policies.
