(FREMONT, Calif.) Fremont police have arrested two suspects in connection with numerous catalytic convertor thefts, KRON4 reports.

The arrests were made Thursday after officers served three search warrants arresting Nailah Baker, 43, of Hayward, and Haseeb Kakar, 42, of Fremont.

Both Kakar and Baker have been identified by investigators for their roles in the thefts that occurred Sunday in the 4800 block of Natalie Avenue.

A total of 22 catalytic converters were recovered by authorities during the investigation, along with several power tools used for removing the part.

Police ask anyone with additional information to contact the Fremont police at (510) 790-6800.
