    Berwyn is a suburban city in Cook County, Illinois, coterminous with Berwyn Township, which was formed in 1908 after breaking off from Cicero Township. According to the 2010 United States Census, the estimated population of this city was 56,657. Berwyn is known for having the most significant collection of Chicago-styled bungalows.

    During World War II, when all the men are fighting in the war, their jobs are left vacant which are then taken up by the women. The same goes for sports. Since there are no male baseball players, the owners of the baseball teams decide to form teams of women players. So scouts are sent all over the country to find women players. As the scout passes through Oregon, he finds a woman Dottie Hinson who is amazing but is not interested. The scout makes a deal with her sister that if she convinces Dottie then he would take both of them on the team and so it happens. But as the people are more interested in watching male players, the women teams aren’t a big hit until Dottie takes a stand and grabs the attention of people and gradually she becomes the star of the team.
