CLEVELAND, OH - The Hopedale American Legion sponsors the 1st Annual PTSD Awareness Run which calls attention to 1 Is Too Many. It is an organization that is committed to reducing the number of veteran suicides down to zero by addressing the underlying issues that cause it.

This June, the National PTSD Awareness Month allows us to bring awareness of Post Traumatic Stress and associated disorders brought about by trauma. PTSD comes in many colors, shapes and sizes. Your friend's or relative's PTSD is different from your PTSD. It affects each individual differently which makes it a challenge to treat. What works for one person may not work for the others. We need to take a comprehensive view of PTSD treatments or the epidemic may not be stopped anytime soon.

1 Is Too Many is putting the effort to continue helping the veterans who are in crisis mode, who need someone to help them, and who don't know what resources are available to them. By doing this together, we can bring down the number of veteran suicides and bring awareness about PTSD.

The ride will begin on Saturday, June 12 at Hopedale American Legion Post 682, 48225 Rabbit Road, Hopedale, OH 740.937.9995. The registration starts from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM and costs $20.00 for each rider and passenger. The first rider will be out at 10.30 AM. For more information, contact 1-800-OH-AMVET (800) 642-6838.

The Veterans Affairs has published an awareness calendar to mark the month. Some of the programmings hit on this issue. Visit the calendar at https://www.1istoomany.com/events.
