HOUSTON, TX — Pasadena Police Department will offer a Women's Self Defense Course starting on June 15, 2021.

The course will take place at the Pasadena Police Academy located at 6052 Genoa-Red Bluff Rd. in Pasadena.

The participants will learn how to protect themselves based on the national standard in women's self-defense, Rape Aggression Defense (RAD).

RAD provides effective options for women to take an active role in their self-defense and psychological well-being. It is a program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques that aims to give a comprehensive course for women, starting with awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance, and progressing to the basics of defensive training.

The method has been internationally recognized for programming quality and organizational commitment to excellence. Their system balances the needs of women to have a self-defense education in a relatively short time, with the lifelong commitment required for mastering physical skills by providing short-term training opportunities.

The training will be in a progressive building block format combined with RAD's trademark Lifetime Return and Practice Policy.

The three-day course starts from June 15-17, from 6.00 PM until 9.00 PM. The course is available for ladies in age 14 and older and is limited to only 20 students.

For inquiries or registration, call 713-475-7025
