How would you feel if you win a jackpot on your birthday? It will be a dream come true moment for you, right!

The dream became a reality for a Kansas Lottery player. The person, who wants to remain anonymous, won a Keno jackpot on their birthday.

They won an astounding $124,600 as prize money from their winnings.

The winner from Cherokee County was overjoyed by this unexpected spate of good luck. Though they are an avid Keno player, they never had such magnificent luck in previous games.

According to the statement given by the lottery winner to the Kansas Lottery officials, they were at VFW 1372 (137 South East Ave) in Columbus celebrating their birthday and decided to play a few rounds of Keno.

Never in their wild imagination, they thought they would have another fabulous reason to celebrate the day.

“Usually I play birthday and anniversary numbers or the four corners, which has given me some good wins in the past, but this time I had been playing for a bit that day and decided to grab some Quick Pick numbers on my way out, and I’m so glad I did!” - The Keno Game Winner

As per the Kansas Lottery official site, "the lucky person wagered $4 each for four drawings on the 8-Spot Game with the added Bull’s-eye and matched all eight of their numbers—which let them take the progressive jackpot—plus hit the Bull’s-eye to win the total amount!"

The winner had not verified their numbers till the evening. Later, when they checked, they could not believe that they have hit all the numbers for the jackpot.

“I kept double-checking the numbers to make sure I was seeing it right. Sure enough, I calculated I had won around $120,000! I even called the Lottery ahead of time to tell me exactly how much it was.” - The Lottery Winner

The winner had to make a trip to Topeka to claim the prize. After getting the money, they took their friends for lunch to celebrate the winning. Other than the lunch outing, the person doesn’t have any plans for the rest of their windfall yet.

The lottery official said the total money won in that game of Keno was one of the largest Keno jackpots in the state's history.

The retail outlet that sold the winning Keno ticket will also receive $1000 as a winning lottery selling bonus.
