A two-vehicle accident hospitalized 4 people on Spring Valley Street (Spring Valley, CA)

On Monday morning, four people suffered injuries, including a 5-year-old child, following a two-vehicle crash on a Spring Valley Street.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place shortly after 9:45 a.m. in the 9100 block of Jamacha Boulevard, near Kempton Street wherein a 2006 Nissan Altima and a 2004 Saturn SUV were involved.

CHP officials reported that the Nissan was going eastbound on Jamacha Boulevard when it turned into westbound lanes and crashed head-on into the Saturn SUV. The force of the collision sent the Saturn into a parked BMW before it came to a stop.

On arrival, medics rushed the 29-year-old female driver of Nissan to Sharp Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. A 5-year-old child who was sitting in a car seat in the back of the Nissan was taken to Rady Children’s Hospital with moderate injuries.

Medics took the 46-year-old male driver of Saturn and a passenger in the SUV to a hospital with moderate injuries. CHP officials believe that alcohol or drugs did not play a factor in the collision at this time.

    An investigation is ongoing.
