This local restaurant continues to impress.

When you enter the space you are struck by a sense of sophistication.

The long wall of windows is mirrored by a wall of white shelving, displaying a selection of available wines. The owners are masters of making simple things elegant and they’ve created a sense of intimacy with lighting, and table placement.

The lighting is unusual, old-fashioned Edison-lamp style LED lights hang from the high ceiling at different heights throughout, giving your eyes an interesting variety of views.

The approachable, friendly space is enhanced by the way the wine display wall is used to separate the kitchen and dining room. This allows glimpses between the two spaces and provides a spacious feel as well as maintaining the intimacy of the seating area.

The combination of plushly upholstered booths and tables covered with white tablecloths adds to the atmosphere and the blue mohair velvet seat upholstery is an outstanding touch.

Combine that with attentive, professional service and you have a restaurant where you can comfortably bring a special date or a loved one to celebrate an anniversary.

Lark Restaurant is a great place for a special occasion.

It’s a bit pricier, but you can count on the atmosphere and consistent quality.

There are two dining rooms, the main floor offers elegant white linen tablecloths and plush banquettes. Upstairs you find rustic decor, in an intimate setting, tucked up into the rafters of the historic building.

You can find Lark in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.

“Our menu features small plates of locally-produced and organic cheese, charcuterie, vegetables, grains, fish, and meats, all prepared with a signature focus on flavor and quality.” LarkRestaurant
