    The City of Akron’s Lock 3 release the schedule for June 2021 summer events

    AKRON — The City of Akron’s Lock 3 has presented its upcoming June 2021 summer events and concerts it plans to hold on the iconic Cleveland Clinic Akron General Stage. The summer events will include concerts, theater performances, health events, and movie showings.

    Wellness enthusiasts can attend the fitness events, with Zumba on Mondays at 5 p.m., Yoga on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m., and line dancing on Sundays at 4 p.m.

    Every Thursday from June until August, people can enjoy Alternative Nights with radio station jenY 107.3 FM from 7 to 10 p.m. There will also be yard games and drink specials.

    Rock the Lock will be held every Friday throughout the summer. Visitors can watch various band tribute performances such as Fleetwood Macked (Fleetwood Mac tribute band), Dirty Deeds (Extreme AC/DC tribute band), E5C4P3 (Journey tribute band), and Abbamania (ABBA tribute band).

    This event also offers Family Movie Night that will be held on Sunday evenings starting at 8 p.m. Movies featured will include Cloudy with a Chance of Meatball, The Lion King, Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure, and Playing with Fire.

    Lock 3 also presents Movies on the Great Streets, an initiative from the City of Akron that aims to improve the city’s Neighborhood Business Districts by targeting support and resources in these areas.
