Are you looking for mental and physical wellness? Well, a holistic approach to wellness includes physical exercises along with promoting the relaxation of the mind. What can be better than yoga to achieve these?

In this context and in no particular order, we will explore the five best yoga studios in Miami. From Vinyasa to Hatha, you will be able to try out different styles in those studios for mental and physical wellness.

    1. Bikram Hot Yoga 305

It is situated at a hidden location in South Miami. It has been a popular spot for all yoga enthusiasts since its beginning in 2014. The classes there are conducted using the traditional Bikram practices. Here people can practice a series of twenty-six diverse poses over 90 minutes in a room that has a temperature of 105 degrees Fahrenheit. The owner and lead instructor of the space is Carolina Villalba. She motivates the students to withstand extreme conditions and sweat it out.

The students find her energetic, fun and she makes everyone forget about the heat. Besides, the studio serves as a pop-up training venue for other disciplines and fitness instructors, including Tracy Anderson.

    2. Prana Yoga

It is a yoga sanctuary in Miami for 17 years. It conducts more than seventy classes in different styles every week. You may not be familiar with many of those practices, such as Iyengar Yoga that uses props like blocks and belts to offer assistance in poses. If you want a more calming experience, you can opt for a special candlelit session which is open to participants of all levels. However, it is not recommended for first-time students.

Prana Yoga is located on a quiet Coral Gables Street. The windows of the studio remain open on a pleasant day. The participants will get to hear the chirpings of the birds and the creak of hardwood floors under the feet. You can ask about new student specials that include two classes for $20 and unlimited yoga in the first month for $99.

    3. Green Monkey

Your first experience in yoga can be a little intimidating. Green Monkey is the place that will release some of your pressure. You will immediately fall in love with the bright, modern spaces of the studio. Besides, the range of instructors, including some students-cum-instructors makes the learning experience more pleasant by sharing their experiences at Green Monkey studios located at Miami Beach and Coral Gables.

Though the classes are quite modern, the authentic charm of the studio will uphold the tenements of spirituality and wellness associated with this ancient studio.

    4. Dharma Studio

The studio is extremely beautiful and situated in the heart of Coconut Grove. Besides, this home-grown studio will give you the vibe of practicing in a friend’s backyard. The scheduled classes there include:

    • Eclectic Exercises
    • Challenging Exercises
    • Fast-paced Yoga
    • Therapeutic and Gentle-Stretchy Yoga
    • Pre-and-Post-Natal Classes
    • Vinyasa
    • Hatha Styles
    • Dharma After Dark (Occasionally held late-night Saturday Sessions)

    5. Om Movement

Earlier, a nightclub and laser tag facility, one of the largest commercial spaces at Coconut Grove, got transformed into a wellness center. It now has a vegetarian restaurant called Choices Café on the first floor and the ultra-modern yoga studio Om Movement is on the second floor. The classes held at Om Studio primarily focus on physical and mental strength along with general well-being and flexibility.

Students of all levels can make the most of the studio’s monthly community classes. The classes are free and conducted on the first Friday of the month from 7 to 9 pm. You don’t have to carry any equipment. Towels, mats, and other essential items are available there on rent.
