In addition to its history, scenery, and beauty, Hawaii has much to offer. Also, Hawaii is home to many award-winning movies!

If you are considering moving to this island state, there are several unique facts to consider. First, Hawaiian Standard Time is its time zone. It is two hours behind Pacific time, which means it is five hours behind Eastern time. Despite Hawaii having eight major islands with population hubs, four counties make up the state. A colored flower represents each island, while each city has an elected council and a new mayor. Although the available resources are few, it is one of the few states where all the underground minerals belong to the state.

Several movies have been filmed in Hawaii because of their stunning beauty. Below are a few of them:

    Jumanji (2017)

Jumanji is about four teens trapped in a magical video game, and the only way to escape is to cooperate to finish it.

One of the characters in a brand-new Jumanji adventure discovers an old video-game console and is drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the avatar they chose. The four of them are about to embark on the most dangerous adventure of their lives to beat the game, find what Alan Parrish left behind two decades ago, and become different people. Otherwise, they will be stuck in the game forever, to be played by others without a break.

    The Descendants (2011)

The Descendants revolves around a land baron and his two daughters, following the devastating loss of their mother.

Hawaii has been home to Matt King's family for generations. The land owned by his extended family on Kauai, namely he and his many cousins, is held in trust for seven years, due to expire in 2012. Selling the land before the seven-year period expires is the simplest thing for the family to do. That is all the talk in the state, as their sale to whoever could change the face of Kauai. Matt would not be able to live comfortably on the vast wealth that comes with the land. Matt has decided to live only off the money from his Honolulu law practice despite the funds from his law practice. Matt has been living in Hawaiian paradise for a long time, but life is not perfect as so many thinks. He and Elizabeth were having difficulties in their marriage. Recently, she was in a boating accident that left her in a coma. Since they couldn't handle Alex's rebellion, which was made worse by an argument of an unknown nature between mother and daughter during her last visit home, they have sent her to boarding school on the big island.
