Joseph McConnell was born in Pennsylvania about 1745. He served in the Cumberland County, Pennsylvania militia. Under a 1777 Pennsylvania law, most Pennsylvania male adults were required to serve. It is difficult to know what Joseph McConnel did in the Revolutionary War because of the rotational nature of militia duty in Pennsylvania. Since 1986, the folks at Pennsylvania’s Carlisle Fairgrounds have hosted an annual spring import show. Police searching for group of males who allegedly set fire to school playground equipment
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Carlisle Police are searching for several people involved in a "dangerous burning" that took place at Hamilton Elementary School on April 25. Police were dispatched to the elementary school around 4:50 p.m. to address a piece of playground equipment that was on fire.
