Three individuals, including a trooper, were hospitalized following a collision between two vehicles, as reported by Pennsylvania State Police on April 24. The incident occurred at 1:38 p.m. on April 20, involving a marked PSP patrol SUV with lights and sirens activated and a Ford Transit van carrying two 57-year-old men, one from California and the other from Massachusetts. Cumberland County man pleads guilty to stabbing ex-girlfriend
A man who police say nearly stabbed his ex-girlfriend to death in 2023 and later tried to hire fellow inmates to kill her and witnesses to the assault has pleaded guilty. Jonathan M. Lepperd, 44, of Carlisle, entered his guilty pleas on Wednesday in the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office to criminal attempt to first-degree murder, retaliation against victim, fleeing and eluding police, and criminal solicitation to first-degree murder.
